I grew up believing that luxury was reserved for other people, but not for me. I believed that it was my destiny to work long hours at a job I hated, and that my sole purpose in life was to make as much money as possible.
After high school, I went to college and majored in Accounting and Finance. I tell people all the time that I went to school greedy, believing that if I just got the pretty degree and started making heaps of money in the financial industry, that I’d be happy and satisfied. Wow, did my life get turned upside-down, though.
After my freshman year, I started wondering if a career in finance was what I actually wanted. I had been taught all my life that it was my job to be dependable, responsible, and financially secure, no matter how unhappy I was, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that my original career path was wrong. I was bored by the idea that every day, my life would consist of nothing but thinking about money.
I felt the need to create. I felt the need to create something that was all mine, beautiful, and purposeful…not just a run-of-the-mill finance job.
So, for the next 3 years, I struggled. I couldn’t stay focused on my classes, being distracted by ideas and inspirations for other things I could be doing. Graduating in 2020, I was completely lost, not having the faintest idea of what I wanted to do. So, I did everything! I got a job at a CPA firm. I started a personal training business. I started my YouTube channel. I became a makeup artist.
I was doing so much but getting absolutely nowhere.
Finally, though, after 4 years of struggle, I discovered what I was truly after in my life. I figured out what I actually wanted for my life.
Freedom. I want freedom.
And that is what this blog is all about! The luxury lifestyle is all about having a say in what your life looks like. Sure, we all have our eyes on the high-dollar items that seem to glisten every time we see them, but that isn’t what the luxury lifestyle truly is.
So, my mission is to create a luxury lifestyle for myself, even on my super tight budget, and to share my discoveries with you!
The luxury lifestyle isn’t reserved for the elite few…it is for all of us! We just have to be willing to be creative and experimental. We have to be open to trying new things and making changes to our lives.
